Andrea Howe lives in Washington, DC and loves that she feels at home anywhere in the world.

As a businesswoman, she is the Founder and President of BossaNova Consulting Group.

As a woman, she is the driving force behind endeavors like Hear Us Roar! that invite women and the people who love them to live life to the fullest.

The genesis of the Hear Us Roar! project was Andrea’s “coming out” at the age of 38 as a rape survivor, when she created Living Out Loud, a program that offers improv comedy workshops to survivors of sexual violence who are ready to laugh again. This experience left her with no doubt that sharing – roaring! – is transformational. She’s lost count of how many survivors have come out to her after hearing her story – including her mom, who silenced her own experience of rape for 60 years.

Andrea says, “It is my most sincere wish that, through this book and the others to come, women around the world will discover this: that authentically sharing our struggles and our victories brings freedom, joy and inspiration to storytellers and listeners alike.”

When Andrea isn’t working, writing, or traveling she’s dancing and creating mosaic art.
