$500 in Roar Grant Money Awarded!
Congratulations to Ina Stanley, the winner of $500 in Roar grant money! Ina was among the first to submit her story. Her name was chosen at random.
Ina learned about Hear Us Roar! through the cyber-grapevine. Ina says, “I first heard about Hear Us Roar! from a local business networking site I’m a member of, called inSide919. The concept of the project just seemed to click with me – a published book full of stories that would be inspirational to women all over the world, with some of the proceeds going to charity!”
Ina continues, “We had just gone through an extremely tough time, and I was so happy to have come through it all OK (and even better than before), that I felt my story might inspire someone else having a tough time. I wanted to show people that you can go through what seems like the bottom of the bottom at the time, but still come out all right. Especially at a time when the economy was beginning to show weak spots, I felt that a story of not giving up might help others going through similar situations.”
Ina is co-founder of Virtual Sidekick, a brand new provider of custom, high-resolution digital photography, multimedia presentations and stunning High Definition® virtual tours and, serving the Durham and Chapel Hill areas of North Carolina. “We plan to purchase lighting and green screen equipment to fully launch the newest division of our company (video resumes, mini commercials and more),” Ina says excitedly. “The timing couldn’t be better. With so many people out of work right now and more folks than ever competing for the same jobs, it’s necessary to have something to help you stand out from the crowd.”
With $500 in her pocket, now Ina has even more to Roar about!

Congratulations, Ina! I think it’s so great that Ina will be able to use this money to help fulfill her dream of her own business.
Isn’t it amazing what a little roaring can do! I invite any and all of you ladies to submit a post and tell us what your outcome was from roaring. Maybe it was huge, maybe it was small, but I would guarantee that there was an outcome from every single roar!
Imagine what you can do with 100 women roaring! Have a lovely Sunday, everyone.
